More Encouragement

Sunset Over Water

We all need inspiration and encouragement from time to time. In our daily lives we are faced with many choices and decisions. We are also faced with many trials that may seem painful, discourageing, frustrating and even remorseful.

We may feel anger, resentment, hatred, or even desperate. Sometimes these feelings can be so overwhelming. We may or may not have friends or family to turn to when we need them the most. That can be one of the hardes things to face. Who do you turn to? Well God is always there, just waiting for you to turn to him.

I would like to share some of my own inspriation and encouragement with you. Remember, you are never really alone. Nothing is as hopeless as it may seem.

Click on the link below for a daily dose of inspiration and encouragement taken straight from "The Word of God". I strongly urge you to take a moment to look over the passages provided. They can lift your spirit and renew your soul in a way you never thought possible. You will also find short stories and poetry written by myself.

AMAZING GRACE

Amazing Grace
How sweet the
sound, that saved a
wretch like me! I once
was lost, but now am
found, was blind, but
now I see.

Twas grace that taught
my heart to fear, and
grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that
grace appear the hour
I first believed!

Thro many dangers,
toils, and snares,
I have already come;
Tis grace that brot
me safe thus far,
and gace will lead
me home.

When weve been
there ten thousand
years, bright shinging as
the sun, weve no less
days to sing Gods
praise than when
we first begun. Amen.

(II Corinthians 9:8)

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and stars;
you have a right...

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace
there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly, and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexations to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter,
for always there will be greater
and lesser persons than yourself.

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe
is unfolding as it should.

Enjoy your achievements
as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career,
however humble;
it is a real possession
in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.

But let this not blind you
to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.

Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face
of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit
to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and lonliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe
is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery,
and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be careful.
Strive to be happy.

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
